I’m trying to figure out how micro.blog, ActivityPub, and my own preferred Mastodon instance all fit together (specifically regarding cross-posting, maintaining centralized comments, etc.)
Has anyone already written about this (or would be willing to share)?

@brianhall I struggle with that, as well. I like how Micro.blog gives me my own online presence, how I can follow and interact with people on Mastodon, and how Pixelfed organizes my pictures.
But while they all interact – I can follow my Micro.blog on Mastodon – Micro.blog is just different enough to make me question how to use it. Most importantly, no hashtag support, even though these are the primary way posts can be found on the other platforms. That's why I disabled cross-posting.
@jl_siewert Ah, I haven't even made it far enough to realize the difference in hashtags, interesting. Right now I'm following the "disable cross-posting, and then follow and boost your M.b posts from your chosen Mastodon instance" suggestions right now in order to get replies on the original posts, but that's not ideal as well.
Gotta keep testing and tweaking. :)
