One of the magpies came by on her own and took a piece of walnut directly from my hand 😍
@jayeless Woohoo! Yesterday a Fantail — Piwakawaka — hung around me so close I was considering putting my hand out for her to land on.
@lmika Haha, it was lovely! I was kind of dithering about how to give the walnut – it was too close for me to toss it, and I wasn't sure where to put it down, and I think the magpie was kind of like, "Look, HERE" and just politely pecked it out of my grip 😂
@Miraz Oh, that's lovely too! My mum has a story about once, at a train station, speaking kindly to a pigeon and having it jump up and perch on her arm for a while.
