It’s been a busy day of barely doing anything but website work, but I’m making good progress getting the Hugo blog up and running 🙂 Today I have: Set up Bridgy and started displaying webmentions under each post (where they exist). @jayeless Sounds like that's gone well. I've been fiddling around with a Hugo site, having looked at various options. My one major requisite is that it has webmention functionality so am interested that you're using Bridgy. I have looked at using it before so might have give it another look.

@strandlines Webmentions themselves were pretty simple to set up with some outside utilities (Webmention.io for receiving, Webmention.js for displaying, and Webmention.app for sending, although I haven't tested that last one yet). Bridgy has been a bit more time-consuming because I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but any social media post that contains a link back to the right page on your site should have its replies/likes/etc. fed back to your own site as Webmentions. So at the basic level, it too would be easy to set up 🙂

@jayeless I will have to have another crack at it. The first time I couldn’t get them to work, so I ended up using Wordpress and a plug-in instead, but hopefully my understanding has progressed! Thanks for the links 👍
