Oh man, send help — I’m considering buying a Meta hardware product. The new Ray-Ban glasses look perfect for snapping pics and videos while out adventuring. They’d be a genuine safety improvement over trying to dig my phone out of my pocket while rock climbing with clients and friends. 😎

@jarrod I too am intrigued by these! I personally wish they were made by someone other than Meta but other than that, they seem great. As someone who has been trying to go without my iPhone on the weekends and just use my Apple Watch, these would be great for taking the occasional photo or video clip.

@jarrod Maybe not while traversing shadowy parts? They look kinda cool, but I can’t stand Meta or their surveillance ecosystem. None for me.

@jarrod honestly I also want it as a “dash cam” for when I bike commute 😂 but I just don’t have the means to get it yet. Looks neat though!

@odd From that video, it seems like they do bright-to-shadow transitions well enough. But yeah, while I’m not thrilled with Meta as the designer, I’m open to seeing them change. From what I can tell, Meta can’t do anything with the photos I’d take with these unless I initiated it (send to Instagram or Facebook).

@ibmacin Oh, yes! When I’m out on runs without my phone there’s often times I want to grab a photo. That’d be very handy.

@jarrod Definitely has me intrigued, although, like most, I wish Meta hadn’t come up with these. These are useful for when you don’t want to whip out your phone. It was a good review, tbh.
