If you’re self employed or a small business owner, how transparent are you about your finances? People IRL sometimes ask me “how’s business going?” and I never know how to answer it because… it depends. And sometimes it changes from week to week. But nobody really wants a annual statement. 😉

@ichris.bsky.social Early on in my business I was tempted to get family or friends to support me via Patreon just so that there’d be a bit of social proof. 😆
@iChris Maybe just give a canned response like, “It’s paying the bills!” Or “The business is doing great, but I hate my boss!”
