My test pairs of Danish Endurance socks did not endure. Why am I having so much trouble finding a good brand of socks that has extended sizes and lasts more than a short period? Recommendations anyone?

@dshanske Can’t speak to sizing, but Darn Tuf are darn tough.

@dshanske I'm a huge fan of the 'Darn Tough' socks, my husband likes them also. My midweight hikers are several years old, and I wear them daily for about half the year (October - April). I got some of the thinner ones for summer a couple of years ago, and so far, they are holding up as well @jeremycherfas

@MitchW I used to wear Gold Toe for my black socks! But when I discovered that wool socks are actually cooler than cotton, I switched textiles. (signed) A Woman of a Certain Age

@dshanske Let me jump on the Darn Tough Train. I wore Darn Tough socks while thru hiking the Appalachian Trail (2,198 miles of rocks and mud) and then for several years after. When those finally wore through, I returned them under the lifetime warranty program and they were replaced, free of charge.

@dshanske I used to go through socks like water. During the pandemic I switched to Darn Tough. It's been my mission to try to return a pair under their lifetime warranty. That has been an abject failure, but I have had happy feet. They do have larger sizes which would hopefully accommodate you and your Disney hiking needs.
