Only on my third visit, I made it inside. Remember to book your ticket ahead of your visit ✈️

#IndependenceHall

Tables with green cloths and chairs arranged around them displaying papers and quills; set in a historic, wood-floor room with green drapes, fireplaces, and a central chandelier.

A tall, historic clock tower with arched windows stands prominently against a cloudy sky, forming part of a large brick building.

@pratik I took my history teacher son there last month. If you're teaching American history, visiting philly adds some context. The Ben Franklin museum was great. Interactive. The man had a mind that would not quit !

@eludom Definitely. It makes history so much more alive. You're walking around, and boom! A plaque on an ordinary house says, "This is where Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence."

@pratik And here's where Hamilton lived .... Carpenters hall (still owned by the same builder's guild) ... just a small building where a few guys got together to ask king George "hey, maybe lighten up on a few things" (that didn't happen ....)
