Fascism is not uniquely USian. There are probably fascists, including paramilitaries, in your country right now.
Whatever you think the US people (as opposed to our politicians) are blowing right now is something you should be working on as well so you can learn from our mistakes. Because the rich know no nation. They're international, they financially back fascism, and they're happy to help it spread.

@meganL My 2 ents: My country, being the motherland of industrial Fascist killing, Germany, is becoming more reactionary and authoritarian by the minute too. CIVICUS changed the democracy label for Germany from Open to Restricted recently.
All countries should study the betrayal of the November revolution in Germany in the Weimar Republic by the social democrats, the rich becoming the new powerful fighting down the workers' class, and installing Fascism to fight the large share of Communist electors and activists in Germany. And about the failures of the KPD, the Communist Party of Germany, following Moscow in their majority, against good reasoning by intelligent Socialists / Anarchists like Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht. Because it is a story of the victory of the CapitalPolitClass through crises and war, it's a timeless story to learn from.
