I enjoy this series, so Someone Murderous at The Midnight Motel (The Accidental Detective Book 5) by Kris Bock was a good read. 📚

when Kate’s hot flashes wake her in the middle of the night, she wanders outside to cool off and stumbles over a dead body. [They] can’t trust anyone at the motel or the local police force they suspect of corruption.

@Miraz Wow, there are several "accidental detective" series, I had to come back to get the author.

@cliffordbeshers I guess "accidental detective" could be some kind of genre or something. The main character here was a war correspondent but was injured and is now reluctantly retired. I like her character change and growth as she gets used to both her injury and her change in career.

@Miraz I bought the first book. Haven't read a mystery in a while.
