Whew. Finished watching Season 1 of Bel Air. That was quite an ending!
Side note: I can’t get over the absolute wealth on display. It’s staggering to think there are folks who could buy their 17 year old a top of the line brand new sports car, for example. 🤯
@Miraz Some friends of mine in the USA bought their 17 year old an Audi as a graduation present when he finished high school. I told him “You are unbelievably lucky. I will never own a car worth that much. Use your privilege for good.”
@yorrike My brain knows that such wealth exists, but seeing a depiction of it strained my ability to grasp it. Likewise — I could never own a car that cost that much!
@Miraz Oh yeah. As a Southern Californian I can say that sort of behavior is very real, very prevalent, and very disgusting. My HS parking lot was full of luxury cars. Plus most of these kids just expected it and still would find reasons to complain. 🙄
@otak Astonishing to know that level of wealth exists right next to the families who have to choose between food and getting needed medicines.
