@wearsmanyhats I can remember when Yahoo really was the gateway to the internet for many people. My browser opened to my personalized Yahoo page, I used Yahoo Mail, I read Yahoo news, I kept dates on my Yahoo calendar. It was a really useful product for its time. Now Facebook is countless people's gateway to the internet -- Yahoo would undoubtedly be a better choice even today.
@wearsmanyhats At this point, I wonder who would miss it. Which brings us back to the question of why they bought it. Assets like money in the bank & user lists I suppose.
