I’ve been trying Pocket as my “read later” service for a week or two and it turns out I’m just as adept at ignoring stuff there as I was when using Pinboard.

@jack It's why I've never switched off of the Pinboard/Instapaper combo I've established. Why do I need another service to ignore? 😉
@jack I loved Instapaper from day one. Eventually recognized it for what it was: a read-it-never service.
Saved me a lot of time, though... 🤔🤦♂️🤷♂️
@jack I always believed for me read later services are where bookmarks go to die — tagged, never to be read again. I know it shouldn’t be the case. But it invariably turns out to be.
So now I keep links open in a Safari tab. At least I happen to read them sometime.
@jack I have blocked out a couple of hours every week to a) remove the stuff I don't want to read anymore b) read some of what's in Pinboard.
