I will be spending the next thirteen minutes preparing myself to be disappointed by Bob Mueller’s public statement even if it is supposed to be “lengthy and substantial.”
@walter I think it was about as strong a statement as Mueller could be reasonably expected to make. Structurally, there is not much more he can say or do, and my feeling is that even if he's just re-stating what he said in his report, doing it on live TV is a much bigger deal than just writing it in his report.
@petebrown were you disappointed though? That was your original expectation. It felt, to me, that he was as direct as he could be. Now, I will expect to be disappointed by the non-action from Congress. But, I wasn’t disappointed by what he said.
