The great unbundling YouTube

Need to reflect on this talk some great stuff. Makes a truck load of sense.

@adamprocter always keen to see what Ben Evans has to say. Skim watched. Appreciated his framing "let’s see what happens as tech becomes a regulated industry”. Good to find out about hopin.com as competitor to AirMeet.com. Internet search moved from Best to Cheap: internet more involved in decision-making. Amazon ads > AWS. Ad-tech bubble: 15% money flow unknown. Tesla: "media production business which tries to monetise through cars”. Elon placed a bet on battery price drop, and it's paid off. Will Japan follow China? Best innovations from China get adopted: short vids, tipping etc. Look out for the "Ind”s: India & Indonesia. Regulation: the terracaps have not killed start-up creation (is this the irrational entrepreneur, or just playing for acquisiton?). Regulation: "You don't break up Apple, you just tell them they can't charge more than 5% commission”. Innovation: first 50 years - technology. Second 50 years: social effects.
