@vincent Work as much like Tweetbot as possible. But basically, remember where I was the last time I had the app open/focused. Flow new posts in at the top of the timeline, never move the timeline for new posts. Sync my position to other devices via iCloud. Given the gap problem, not sure how much of this is possible.
@mcg alrighty. I don’t use Tweetbot, nor do I know how it works. However your description is perfect. I’ll see what I can do with what I have available via the API. Thanks Matthew ✌️
@vincent Same as @mcg. Tweetbot is perfect when it comes to this subject. Whenever I open it, on the phone or laptop, I’m always looking at the same tweet. Newer ones load, but it never budges unless I want to. Cool related feature, if I tap on the top of the screen it moves to the newest tweet, and tap it again it moves back to last read.
@vincent BTW love the context menus in latest beta. They do seem to activate if you don’t select anything after activating the menu. Also it would be nice to have them on images along with double tap zooming.
@mcg thanks. Yeah, the only thing it does is navigate to the conversation view if you tap the cell again… might just remove that. Double tap zooming — thanks for the reminder, will try and get that in.
@vincent Tweetbot is nice, in my opinion. I’ve tried a few apps for Twitter, and only Twitterrific comes close, but this one is still my favorite by far. It does everything it’s allowed to do, and in a cool way.
@vincent I think others have said it for me. Scroll position synced across devices. Scroll position not changing unless I change it by scrolling :)
@vincent Very much. Swipe to actions can be tricky sometimes, or opens reply page twice and gets stuck there, unable to type. This way feels nicer.
@maique yeah, the twice loading the screen is annoying and something that will be fixed in the new shiny version (when it’s ready).
