And I’ve started a new podcast. Voyager Revisited.
I also moved my post about The Voyager Viewer’s Guide to this microblog, if you are wondering why a year-old post just reappeared….

@macgenie Yes! I’m following. Probably not the best ST series but it had the biggest impact just at the right time in my life.
@macgenie Oh no! When I click the Subscribe in Overcast link it takes me to here, with a Not found message: overcast.fm/itunes145... 😒
@macgenie AOC watching Voyager with her dying father…
In one scene, Captain Janeway…appears and my husband, who could no longer talk, pointed at the captain then at [AOC], and back and forth, to say to her he thought she'd be like Captain Janeway one day, someone in charge.
@Miraz I think it takes a while to propagate to the directory of Overcast. It is in the Apple podcast directory. You can enter this link into Overcast manually and it works: feeds.theincomparable.com/voyager
@macgenie Awesome. One of my favourite of the Trek universe; I really enjoyed Voyager. I'll be listening.
@macgenie The more I learn about AOC and watch her work, the more I am impressed. Sign me up on the Speaker Ocasio-Cortez bandwagon in a decade.[^note1]
[^note1]: Nothing against her in particular; I just think any legislator should be pretty experienced before being in charge of a caucus.
@Miraz It's annoying, because it works fine on Apple and Castro. Oh, the joys of online publishing.
@macgenie @miraz FWIW: I just copied the RSS link from the website and used that to subscribe.
@hutaffe I’ve fed it into my RSS reader just in case, but Overcast just hasn’t picked it up yet.
@Miraz oh sorry, I meant to say you can copy the RSS url directly into Overcast and it picks it up then. But I‘m sure it will also pop up on its own at some point.
@hutaffe Thanks. I've tried that on my Mac via web, iPhone and iPad and it's a no-go. Maybe it's because I have a free Overcast account or maybe it's because I'm in New Zealand. I'll keep trying… If all else fails I can listen via Reeder, but I'd rather use Overcast.
@hutaffe @macgenie Oh, somehow out of all those attempts I do have it in my podcast list. Hooray!
@macgenie Congrats on the new podcast! I’ve been itching to get back into Voyager, this may be just the thing. Subscribed.
@macgenie oh nice! Looking forward to who you are going to have as guests to discuss Voyager.
@macgenie Congrats! Are you going through each episode of the series in order or just talking about one-off topics/characters/etc? So far, I've watched Star Trek Enterprise and Star Trek Discovery (just a couple episodes behind). I'm working on it chronologically, so Voyager is a bit far off before I start watching it! lol
@EddieHinkle That’s interesting you are going chronologically. Voyager Revisited will have a focus each episode, either a character, alien species or theme. The guest can pick an episode or two that falls in that focus to discuss. There are 170+ episodes, so not a straight through rewatch.
@macgenie Yeah, I’ve never been a big Star Trek person, it always confused me a bit how there were all these different series and stuff. But after watching Star Trek Discovery S1 and the JJ Abrams alternate universe movies, I was interested enough but felt like I needed chronological to help me understand placement. I might have to abridge some series like the classic tv show lol
@macgenie Makes sense! Sounds like an interesting premise! I’ll have to listen to them when I get around to watching Voyager!
