It’s Prime day and I’m actually in a little bit of a dilemma. My 6 year old Kindle Paperwhite is still going strong. The only compelling reason to upgrade is the higher resolution screen and being waterproof. Is it worth it?

@kaa I know how you feel. I could get a new one, but the one I have from 4 years ago works just as well.

@jhull decided not to get it. I’ll just think in my mind I’ve got the brand new Kindle (since it’s the same specs as the old Kindle Paperwhite). :) Thanks for helping me.

@tones my only concern with that strategy is that technology does progress sometimes that make results noticeable. I have a five year old mirrorless camera that I’m considering getting an upgrade on as well, even though the existing is fine, but there are several improvements that have happened in this space over the last 5 years... the Kindle is clearly slow technology :)
