@supremus I’m sure someone’s keeping track of when your sprinklers last ran.

@supremus I’m sure they aren’t all bad. (I hope they aren’t).

@odd everyone we have met so far has been super nice and welcoming tbh. We just came from a neighborhood that had so much diversity even within our community so it’s been a big “whoa” moment for us.

@aurora my next door neighbor. Very nice and welcoming but also something about him is off putting.

@supremus I guess only time will tell, but I hope they are genuinely welcoming. I think it’s much worse in some parts of my country than in the “white” parts of the US. Probably because the history of non-whites are so short here still. Kids even it out, but grownups can teach kids to be mean…

@supremus We've seen an interesting dynamic play out in our sub-division. Original owners vs. Folks who've moved in when the original owners turned empty nesters. Luckily our culdesac has changed hands completely, so kids galore and no one has been nitpicky about anything, so it's worked out so far.

@aurora @supremus This happened on our street when we moved in too. A cohort of kids of the same age. After 4-5 years, we saw a similar group move in. Ours is a older suburban neighborhood (40 years) so only a couple of original owners remain. We see plenty of estate sales down the street. Sad but fresh beginnings.

@pratik all our immediate neighbors are well into their prime years of life so hopefully they retire into other areas soon. That said, wonderful people and since we party a lot hopefully they sleep super well in their cozy rooms coz they got no kids and won’t be disturbed.

@supremus Usually they make the best neighbors. Few years ago a rambunctious and nosey neighbor moved away and a grandma moved in. Great improvement! Very willingly split the cost of our shared fence. Gave us a check the next day after asking.
