It’s absurd that Instapaper is still offline for European users. I’m afraid they’ve lost me and I’m now looking at IndieWeb alternatives.

@stefp I'm not an instapaper user, but all other companies managed to get sorted for GDPR, why not instapaper? The reality is that not a great deal has changed. If you were DPA compliant before you're probably OK for GDPR. It wasn't a complete change.

@stefp interested to hear what you find. I switched to using Pinboard but I miss some elements of Instapaper and it’s not quite as smooth.

@philbowell I I stick things in Pinboard and usually forget about them so it wouldn’t work for me. I have something in mind though.

@stefp yeh I’m finding that as well. For a long time it was more of an archive of interesting links. Interested to hear about it.

@stefp I have pinboard ... but don’t see it as an Instapaper replacement and the pinboard response time to my questions from the developer is infinite ... as in three questions pinged in - with reminders to both email and twitter and donuts in response ... and yes I know there’s only him - and everyone says how great he is ... but in my world @manton is At one end of the scale - Dave Winer at the other - and pinboard guy Way down the pike from there
