Personally I think it sucks as Mail’s drawer was brilliant. Not taking up space on your screen when you didn’t need it but quickly available when you wanted to file things.
reminded me why I mourned the drawer's demise. It was used in a lot of places that were a bad fit (but had no better alternative at the time), but afterwards, we got stuck with source lists in a lot of places where they were a bad fit, permanently taking up screen space.
@smokey And now a bunch of apps have a Hide Sidebar command. It might as well be drawers!
@adders Ditto. Drawers seemed so reviled in the Mac-tech-geek community at the time they disappeared, so I had to mourn alone then.
