@JohnPhilpin I use a Jekyll blog and my @ mentions don’t seem to link when in the app. see this post. Do I need to link them on the Jekyll side (via plugin) in order for them to work? If so, will it still send a notification to the person I mentioned?
@JohnPhilpin That was a bug I introduced today while trying to improve usernames. Fixed now! I ran the fix through your 3 posts to update them.
@brandontreb For external blog posts, you'll need to link the username yourself. See the 4th bullet point on this help page for some tips. Also, thanks!
@manton ahh that def makes sense. I think I can solve it with the Jekyll Mentions plug-in. Will users still get notified via push when they are mentioned on an external blog? Thanks!
@brandontreb Ooh, that seems useful for folks with external Jekyll microblogs; @eli, wanna add that to the wiki, too?
@smokey awesome. Yeah, it ended up working very well. After installing the plugin, it fixed all the @ mentions on my site. It did not fix them automatically in the m.b posts as I’d imagine they don’t ever get re-fetched. But that’s ok.
@brandontreb They do get re-fetched, but it only updates the posts in Micro.blog if they are changed within the first 24 hours.
@brandontreb Hi Brandon. 👋🏻 Has the plug-in worked for Micro.blog mentions since you installed it?
@simonwoods yes. It works perfectly. It even update my previous posts (on my blog not on m.b) and added the links.
