Moved all of my accounts from 1Password to, iCloud Passwords (is that what it is called? it isn’t KeyChain, is it?). Now to move Eliza’s and we’ll be done.

@cdevroe I’m still in process, but that is where I am headed.

@cdevroe I’ve done the same, ICK has really improved and has very good security. Upcoming passkey support makes it even more appealing. I see no need to use anything else.

@pimoore Passkeys are going to be amazing.

@cdevroe Yes they are, though they should’ve already been a thing. Passwords are yesterday’s news.

@jeremycherfas No, but others have. I will link you to one when I’m back at my computer.

@jeremycherfas With Micro.blog not having real search and no paging on user profiles... this is more difficult than I'd like. Diving into my browser's history!

@cdevroe On a first read through, looks great. And might also offer an opportunity to go through some of the things I have stored on 1password and haven't used in an age. If I make the switch, I'll need to figure out a way to use Fastmail's masked emails more easily.

@cdevroe Since my work blocked everyone’s access to LastPass I guess I don’t really need it anymore either and can rely on iCloud too. I do like that LastPass saves notes and card numbers though…

@cdevroe @jeremycherfas @manton @jean I agree, I would like it to be easier to find a person on MB, and to search posts generally.

@cdevroe I’ll probably continue rolling with both. I’ve actually found having a Watch app to be a killer feature for me with 1Password. I have codes I need quick access to when closing my building down and being able to access them on my wrist has been really convenient. Otherwise, I find what Apple is doing with everyday logins and card numbers to be convenient enough on that end. Using biometrics to authorize payments from home is quite nice. I haven’t seen any examples with Passkeys yet, but I’m intrigued by them. At some point I need to close all the accounts I’m no longer using and clean up my registries on both services.

@skoobz I’m not sure, but icloud.com might already be using passkeys?

Perhaps others would know.

@cdevroe With the current betas, yes. I believe with an app that has a login, the developer would have to implement something. But, I think they’re working in Safari already. I just haven’t ran across anything.

@skoobz The Watch integration is huge. On a variety of levels. I hope Apple continues to improve their password manager - while at the same time replacing it with PassKeys.

@UndamnedOne I’ve moved my notes to locked Notes and a few things to keychain. Cards are in Safari.

@cdevroe A further question on this move - are you committing to Safari as your main browser, at least when you need to access password protected sites?

@crossingthethreshold Yes. I mostly use Safari - for many many years - anyway.

@cdevroe Thank you. I’ve moved that way. It has the knock on effect of focusing my mind by just using one browser.

@skoobz I’ve started using Cheatsheet for quick access to information that I need. The data can be password protected, and is available on Apple Watch. cc @cdevroe
