Picked up a monitor to connect the MacBook to while I’m at my desk. Man, does the resolution on this thing suck! Think I’m just going to return it and pick up a laptop stand for the time being.

@sku_b I found it virtually impossible to live with a ‘run of the mill’ external monitor connected to mine. Looks so crappy and is in fact less functional (for me). That is part of what led me to replace my MBP with an 27” iMac.

@ronguest Funny thing is I’m moving on from that very iMac. I wanted more versatility and a MacBook gives me that. The M1 is also a huge performance boost. Hands down though, Apple makes great displays, so I suspect I’m going to have to spend a bit to do this machine justice. I notice on their support page Apple endorses the LG Ultrafine display line.

@sku_b What monitor did you get in the end? Was it a 4K display?

@sku_b I ask because I am considering getting an AOC 32" and pairing it up with an M1 Mac Mini.
