My willingness to try living with Windows is an indication of how much I dislike my 2016 MacBook Pro. It’s a mostly nice machine, but the keyboard is the single worst thing I’ve ever typed on, and the Touch Bar is so useless as to be annoying. Those are borderline deal-breakers.
@jack You’d surely miss so much great software though? Tinderbox? DEVONthink? Probably a few other Mac only applications...
@BestofTimes Oh I'm not leaving my Macs. Just looking for a decent peripheral device (aka laptop) that's not my MBP but is still generally useful.
@jack I started a new gig about a month ago, moving to a different administrative office at my institution. I had to surrender my 2017 27” iMac for a 2018 13” MBP. I miss it every day. I didn’t realize how often I used something as mundane as a media key until I was saddled with the TouchBar.
