Anybody have any good YA book/series recommendations? I’m looking for something I can read in-between other books as kind of a fun and effortless mental refresher… My hope is to find a longer series I can stick with, but individual books and trilogies work too.

@kordumb I know nothing about the current YA landscape, but John Christopher’s’ Tripods trilogy (The White Mountians, The City of Gold and Lead, & The Pool of Fire) were favorites of mine. I bought the collection when my daughter was born — some gifts are a decade-plus in the making. Frankly, despite strong modern reviews, I’m afraid to read them again, lest they not measure up to my memory.

@kordumb I am a fan of The Warriors series. Basically Harry Potter with cats. It's fun.

I also liked the Percy Jackson series. On a more challenging level, The Golden Compass and it's sequels.
