@vincent Two more feature requests for Gluon. 1) Char count when posting. 2) under the new More... button on a profile, have an option to post to that user (could of used it here).

@DaveWoodX thanks. Have added number 1 to the list. 2 was already there (think you asked that previously?).

@vincent hmm. I don’t see 2. Don’t remember if I mentioned it before. Perhaps. Also, (and I have mentioned this one before), new lines. I’ve looked at the API and believe it’s a micro.blog bug, but it’s easy to work around. Example screenshots from Gluon vs Icro coming in a separate post. Can’t attach photos to replies. Dumb.

@DaveWoodX I meant that number 2 is on the list hehe. Yeah, no images in replies. I try and follow Micro.blog the best I can when it comes to use case. However I sometimes add inline images in replies, so I might just pop it on the list.

@vincent yeah I knew that was a Micro.blog limitation. I’ve hit it many times.

@DaveWoodX @vincent I do puzzle at the fact one can’t respond with photos. I’ve thought about this several times and always mean to give feedback to @Manton about it.

@sarcassem @DaveWoodX @vincent The original reason was that not everyone has a hosted blog, so it's not clear where to store the photos. But also I think images in replies on Twitter are often used for memes, so conversations tend to be messier and less meaningful than just short text replies in my experience.

@sarcassem it’s SLIGHTLY more convuluted - but you can add an image in a reply.

%filltext:name=Caption:width=20%

I wonder if that method could be automated in a third party app in some way?

Or is this not really an image in a reply for some technical reason.

@JohnPhilpin ahh pulling it from a URL in Markdown? I wondered about that but hadn’t tested it. Maybe a third party app could link up to something like an Imgur account.
