For some reason I really want a grilled cheese sandwich right now. I had to settle for an Aperol Spritzer instead. 🍹🎾

(Yes, I'm at a tennis court - no, I'm not playing.)

@rosemaryorchard That’s a really interesting-looking diagram on your iPad.

@smokey It's a mind map made in MindNode. I use this as where I start my ideas, then move it to OmniOutliner where I expand and add notes, arrange sections, and then I usually go to Scrivener but am being tempted by Ulysses right now...

@rosemaryorchard I haven’t used Scrivener on the iPad, only on the Mac, but I’d highly recommend Ulysses for iOS and macOS.

It might not be as handy as Scrivener in storing your research material - if you have a lot of it- but it’s great for getting the writing part done. I always feel Scrivener has too many distracting features... some people use them all, but I feel that app is wasted on me.

@rosemaryorchard Ulysses ... very very nice. ... I do find Scrivener overkill.

@vishae I've been a Scrivener user for years which helps, and I do like the iPad version. I store my reference material in DevonThink so that's not a problem. I did buy the Sweet Setup guide to Ulysses so I'll learn about it and try it!

@JohnPhilpin I find Scrivener easy to use, but then I used it for my Bachelor's dissertation so anything after that seems easy! 😁 I've not got the hang of Ulysses yet, but I suspect I could. Thanks for the suggestion!

@rosemaryorchard well there is that ... I am just an amateur .... know that Ulysses unfolds over time.
