Was trying to keep the M1 MBP Rosetta 2-free and found that I have installed Zoom and Forklift, both of which are Intel binaries. I deleted both and found a way to remove Rosetta 2 completely (needs going to Recovery mode). Now Rosetta 2 is not installed. Yipee!

@Burk in the end I just accepted Rosetta - but it would have been good not to have to install it … much as no Microsoft has been installed - so far so good … there is a longer post about this process currently under development.
