I just finished the Season 3 finale of #StarTrekDiscovery and wow. What a beautiful close to a season. Iโm heartbroken for all the people who wonโt be able to watch the premiere of Season 4 tomorrow. ๐๐ป๐บ

@kimberlyhirsh It really does put a damper on the excitement, knowing our Trek friends in other countries will not get to see it. What a PR disaster all around!
And yes, the final two episodes of Season 3 were mind-blowing. Very Big Ideas to think about, and gorgeous effects to enjoy.
@jean @kimberlhirsh I'd reupped my Netflix subscription just for Discovery. Totally bummed ๐
@purisubzi @kimberlyhirsh Itโs unconscionable on the part of Paramount+. I am really sorry. Talk about crushing fan enthusiasm. ๐
@jean @kimberlyhirsh we just have to be patient about P+ launching ๐๐ผ
EU/UK has so often been behind with US media.
@devilgate I think this Deadline article sums it upwell; Paramount's licensing deal with Netflix for Discovery ended and rather than re-up there to cover the gap between now and the global launch of Paramount Plus, Paramount has opted to take it down from Netflix globally and not launch it worldwide until P+ goes global.
@kimberlyhirsh Thanks. That's a right scunner. Not only can we not see it from tomorrow, as I had expected; but to see it when it does come out, we'll have to subscribe to an extra streaming service.
To make matters worse for me, personally, it looks like here in the UK it's going to be on Sky and its streaming arm NowTV. Sky isn't owned by the Murdochs anymore, but the idea of using it still makes me uncomfortable.
And when I did use it for while (for Watchmen) the NowTV app was by far the worst streaming app I've ever used.
@kimberlyhirsh That's interesting. As one of those who can't watch the latest Discovery, it's at least useful to know why!
