🥐 I would love to use Croissant, it looks SO sweet. But I don’t think I need this one, with Micro.blog and EchoFeed doing the heavy lifting for my posts already.

@maique Yeah, it looks nice but it’s the wrong workflow for me. I always want to post to my blog.

@manton Yeah. I’ll occasionally post directly, but I also want to have things on the blog first.

Maybe if they added Micro.blog to the list of sites… hmmmm…

@maique Where does EchoFeed fit in for you, given that you have Micro.blog to push your posts out elsewhere?

@crossingthethreshold It’s being used for the other blogs, hosted elsewhere. The links one, sticker spotter, the b&w photo thing. Sending to social.lol, to Bluesky. Eight Echos at the moment.

@maique Ah that makes sense. I was just focusing on your Micro.blog world, not thinking that you also exist elsewhere!

@maique Yup. I reached out to the developer to add Micro.blog. Echofeed is still missing Threads (Robb says, he's working on it). I like that Croissant is a posting-only app.

@maique I grabbed it just to support the developer with my $20/year. It's really very nice! Maybe we can get him to support Micro.blog? It's only for posting, no timeline. It's kind of perfect in that way.

@maique I still prefer Micro.blog to act aaa the central hub of my POSSE approach.

@maique But you could add the MB mastodon compatible username and it would post there too! 🧐

@pratik That would be nice, but I’m afraid it would create another issue: posting to M.b with it would mean that posts would then follow the normal workflow, and be shot to the socials again. They’d show up twice.

@maique Same for me. Micro.blog has my needs covered nicely.

@maique Yup, you will have to use one or the other. I may use this for my selective posting to Threads and Bluesky since I don't crosspost everything like I do with Mastodon. With Echofeed, I've to categorize it with the 'Bluesky' category for it to be picked up by Echofeed. If Echofeed adds Threads as a crossposting option, I wouldn't need Croissant.

@maique Direct posting to Micro.blog would be very cool. I'm happy to help them with that if they're interested.

@maique I think Manton reached out to Aaron to discuss! Micro .blog was on our radar but we didn’t want to overextend ourselves too fast

@bryan Kinda, yes. Still no Threads (although planned). But this one looks SOOO much better 🙂 I’m a sucker for good looking apps.
