Finally had a play on the new Elizabeth Line. The stations are big, bright and beautiful, the trains whisper quiet and super smooth. Returning to the Underground (narrow platforms, exposed ducting, screeching brakes) is quite the juxtaposition.

@paulrobertlloyd It had newly opened when we were in London in early June. The tube station (Canary Wharf) closest to where we were staying was on the Elizabeth line. Our first impression was, whoa! London tube is awesome!
