I recently posted this and when I link to it on social media sites like FB, the image that shows in the rich link is just my profile image, not the one from the post. I’m also confused as to how I can put images in line with text. I really want to totally ditch wordpress and do everything with micro.blog but I’m going to have to figure out this image thing. I read this and it seems like I need to understand html to put images in line with text in a post? I’m fairly comfortable with markdown, much less so with HTML. It also mentions using Sunlit (I tried Quill but I don’t really see that functionality I’m looking for with it) - should I just use that app any time I want to include images within posts?
\nWait, I see I can host images on third party website and embed in line using markdown. Would they be shown as a “featured” image when sharing the link to social media? I’m still wondering about images uploaded directly to micro.blog… Is there a thid party site that micro.blog users prefer for hosting images?
\nIs there other documentation I could read through to understand this better? I understand that I have a lot of questions and I don’t want you to feel like you have to be my tech support. I’m happy to read/learn if I know where to look.
