@ewancroft.uk Extremist ethnic nationalism seeks to naturalise power by appeal to emotive categories. Having the power to say who’s in and who’s out is made to seem legitimate when it’s arbitrary. In attempts to tell others where they’re “really from”, arbitrary power is the main point, not geography or culture.
