The physical prints feel so similar to the lab prints of my youth, if it weren't for the perferorated edge, I would know by holding one.
That, and the fact there's nothing to dry out, you can leave it months/years unused, and it'll print just fine. I can move it around without worrying about damaging anything, or even take it to a friend's house (if I had one).
@jbaty were you printing from the app / sd card, or using it as a \"proper printer\"? I've avoided the OS level printer option, it would give more control, but, to be honest, I don't really want that control if I can get a decent print out of the box.

I've followed Bad Flashes on youtube for quite a while. While is presentation style is a bit grating (for a genX brit), he's had quite a lot of nice content in the past (like his manual flash videos).
About half of his recent videos though have been digital, or digital related product plugs. I think maybe he's trying to stretch outside the film bubble, which is fine and all.
It's not for me though. Not unfollowing just yet, but it's a shame that I'm leaning that way.
Three down, three to go (there are two more after that too I think). They are enjoyable, but while the writing is good in a narrative sense, it doesn't feel particularly good in the literature sense. I'm going to have to reread some Graeme Green because I definitely remember that as truly wonderful writing.

How much of a hot take would it be to say that, while Henri Cartier-Bresson is important to photographers, and maybe photography, very few of his photos are actually important? I'm rarely moved by his photos, but I get why he might be considered foundational.

We have a framed postcard of this on the wall of the little summer house in our garden (sounds grander than it is).
It's hard to express how well Parr captured the spirit of working class and lower middle class Brits. I've seen it suggested that Parr's work is somehow offensive or classist. Fuck that! You assume that the people in his photos weren't in on the joke. We know how silly we can be.

The live stuff users were interested in was miniscule. it wouldn't all fit in RAM, but we were getting close.
Network bandwidth is the hard part of streaming services. The rest is trivial tech.
