Today was a good day. I stayed on top of my pain medication, and it worked. The worst part of the recovery so far is shoulder pain caused by leftover gas from the laparoscopy. It hurts when I lie down, so I’m sleeping in the recliner. Hopefully that goes away soon.

I love being in New York. The apartment we’re staying in is next door to a pizza place and a deli and a grocery store. Anything I want, I can just walk and get. It makes the quasi-suburban life I live feel isolating.
