I'm probably over toward the left side of the X-axis. I know for myself I'm less worried about losing my job than I am about my job becoming an endless exercise cleaning up bugs in code that nobody actually understands, extruded by a machine that's incapable of ever really learning from its mistakes.

I mostly haven’t missed them; the frustration : helpfulness ratio was just not good. Older-style autocorrect is mostly good enough and goes wrong less often.
I feel like the suggestions either need to be faster or deliberately slower; as it stands they interact poorly with my eyes-brain-fingers processing loop, and that ain’t changing.

The only other UI element that I can think of that comes close is the Office \"ribbon\" toolbar.
For simpler apps it may not matter much, but for more complex \"power user\" apps that don't have menus they usually end up with functionality tucked in weird corners of the UI. I often find myself wishing they'd just put in menus.
@WPalant That's not much of a bright side, IMO. I think the menu bar is an underrated and unfairly maligned bit of UI, and I can think of lots of apps whose UIs suffer from the fact that menu bars have become unfashionable.

I'm no designer, but I do a little photo editing for personal stuff. I absolutely need to see the full image for some adjustments and cropping; having floating blurry UI panels covering part of it would mess with my ability to judge the composition. I can't imagine it's much different with these tools.
