@bradenslen Thanks Brad, very interesting comment. I will explore adding more IndieWeb features to IDM. The main reason I haven't so far is the Indieweb plugins on WP have messed up other parts of my sites before (design template, some slowness). But I will test them once again. Cheers.

@bradenslen Another advantage of email, from a publisher pov, is the granular level of data it enables - not just identity, but open rate and even things like click heat maps. Even with tools like Feedburner, rss never managed that level of data.

@pauljacobson I'm using a couple of plugins. Firstly 'Micro.blog Importer' by @michal, to automatically import my MB into WP. Secondly I'm using the 'Ultimate Category Excluder' plugin to exclude the MB content from my blogs page and main feed.
