Today I took my son to a birthday party at a roller skating rink. The kids all had skating included, adults had to pay if we wanted to skate - fair enough really. A few of the other parents came prepared to skate (including some with their own gear), but I hadn’t. Decided I’d buy admission and hire some rollerblades and join the kids on the rink.
It was SO FUN.
Too often, parents seem conditioned to watch our kids have all the fun. I cannot recommend highly enough joining in on the fun stuff.
