\nSpeaking of which, I think you nailed perhaps the biggest issue for me: my sense of discomfort with having everything tied to my Apple ID. While that suggests I should just be comfortable where I am, the problem is that the place where I ‘am’ is an older version of 1Password. On both the Mac and on iOS, I’m using on older version to avoid needing to pay for a synchronised vault.

I checked out Artifact and find it borderline unusable. The app itself is all right but the reading experience when you tap on a link is awful. It’s a sad reminder of how user-hostile major media websites are without content blockers.

\nIn the post, I said that I went on a podcast diet but after writing up the list I realised that’s not quite what happened. It felt that way but that’s because I swapped weekly shows that were more time-sensitive for shows that were less frequent, took longer breaks between seasons and focused less on current events. Unfortunately Hemispheric Views was a casualty of that.
\nThe other thing was that I decided I wanted more of was (for lack of a better word) narrative-driven shows. Hence the Slate subs and the addition of the blog-to-podcast shows like Astral Codex Ten and Slow Boring.
