@hjalm I use a Fellow Ode which is great for filter coffee, I would look at their Opus if I needed to go finer for espresso. Both look great and very reliable.

@KyleEssary there is Pocket Casts which Iā€™ve used in the past. I donā€™t have the issue of Overcast only playing one episode and stopping though, thereā€™s a setting in nitpicky details that looks related to it.

Very sad to hear Om Malik has died. I never spoke to Om, never expected to meet him, although I wouldā€™ve enjoyed to sit and have a conversation. I like the look of Lettera a new markdown writer app thingy from the folks behind Bear. I joined the beta and so far it seems very polished and working well. Some features are on the way but the skeleton is there. I opened my Obsidian vault and it seems to be working fine.

@purplelime I had one from Chipolo and now have a UGreen one. Both work in my slim card wallet, but the advantage with the UGreen one is itā€™s rechargeable. Would recommend either.

A fantastic look at the design of Japen Rail. The Japanese rail system fascinates me, it is what railways should be. Sadly, and to my dismay, the British railways are horrendous and terribly run. It is always cheaper to drive than it is to go by train which is immensely frustrating.

@ChrisJWilson thankfully weā€™ve not been like that at work, but I have had to battle a few senior staff that a ā€œtoolā€ built to test an idea was not suitable to go live straight away. For once Iā€™ve been thankful that our adoption of new tech has been a bit slower and considered.

@jthingelstad Iā€™ve ended up returning to it thank to Claude Code at work. In fact I turned my OneDrive into my vault and setup the notebook navigator plugin, itā€™s become the primary way of interacting with anything in OneDrive and a nice way to read/collaborate with what Claude documents.

@gregmorris yes, this is why Iā€™m not scared for my job, the taste and design thinking is not there. What has been useful is using Claude Code to create html/js prototypes instead of apps like Axure RP or Figma prototypes. Flats in Figma paired with our coded design system gives me way more functional prototypes for user testing.
