On a trip to Northern California last month, we took to the road in a Tesla Model 3 rental and made our way down to Santa Cruz for my first time. While I don’t partake myself, surfing was very much baked into the town culture.

At the end of January, we made it to the Grand Canyon for the first time in our lives. We are still both unable to describe the sight in words. You can take all the photos you want, but none of them will ever do justice to all there is to take in there.

Our latest exploits in the UK led us to the Lake District, or “the Lakes” as they say, in Cumbria, northwest England. We managed to find a few glimmers of sunlight in a rain-swept landscape. Nothing that a few pints of English ale couldn’t remedy after slogging through mud all day.

At long last, we were able to visit and hike around the breathtaking Matterhorn mountain and Valais Alps region in Switzerland this month. We also made it back to Southern Germany for some long-awaited and much appreciated time with German friends.

We ventured onto the mountain hiking trails again during our early spring trip to Colorado last month in San Isabel National Forest by Salida. We managed to skirt around the snow piles and stumble upon some magnificent views.

We had a delightful time hiking in Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve last week. The shade and chilly river in the gorge make for an excellent summer hike.

I got slightly carried away while trying to update my blog font to San Francisco (-only), and also refreshed the entire UI. It was fun learning Sass in the process though.
