some of the restaurants i went to in Colombia last fall only had QR codes, however i don't scan QR codes ever

handled by saying what i was thinking of eating & then they told me a couple of choices

but it amazes me how many people use their phone to scan QR codes in public, they must get bricked or robbed a lot over time?

or is the US *REALLY* so much higher in crime / scams/ malware that elsewhere they don't even think of it?
