the struggle is real, i haven't practiced enough Bird in Flight photos where the birds are actually flying across the sky as opposed to flying in to a regular perch or feeding spot (i'm using a 400mm lens = suboptimal for distant birds)

this one was shot from the canoe, so it was take the shot or not take the shot... the birds were not gonna stop & perch on our heads 🤣

well i don't know your bank's system in the EU but my bank in Louisiana told me to just put all the coins of all kinds together in a bag with a blank deposit slip & at some slow point in the day they dump out the bag of coins into the coin counter & it somehow knows what coins are what value so it can give them the total to put in my account

so it's easy for me & the bank

in the US, if you have more than 50% of the bill, your bank can send it into the Federal Reserve & eventually you'll get credit for it in your account

while you're there, you may as well take in the jar of coins you've found and they can use the coin counter & add that money to your account too -- this is a free service at my bank for account holders

admit to not finding many bills but
i usually end up between $40-60 in coin by the time i feel my bag is too heavy

in the US, that depends on the terms of agreement, yes, i have a free checking account that pays no interest & charges me no fees & in return if i get robbed or my house burns down i still got my money because the bank is insured by FDIC while homeowner's insurance won't cover lost or destroyed cash

i've been thru bank closures & Hurricane Katrina, thanks to FDIC i didn't lose my life savings

(IIRC Omni Bank lost every branch in Katrina but customers lost not a penny)

i'm finding old magazines are worth very little because the older issues are scanned online somewhere

but if it makes him feel better, there is no harm in checking out their current value before using them to line the bird cage...

i'm in the South (Louisiana) & i do offer cold water and / or soft drinks but most of the contractors have told me they have a cooler with their own drinks...

this gives me the impression it is not common any longer to offer cold drinks to workers because they have already planned for an alternative
