There are many guides and websites out there like this one: www.smarthomebeginner.com/traefik-2… I think I started with a few services on a rpi and then upgraded to an intel NUC. Found a few usb hard drives and I was good to go. Mostly host Nextcloud, Gitea, and some other smaller services. The rabbit hole goes deep and it really depends on how far you want go down it. Here is also a guild specifically for the rpi but I haven’t tried it: thesmarthomejourney.com/2021/01/0… In my experience long turn you will want something for powerful like a miniPC

I put critical things like airline located codes into the title so I can quickly glance down and find them. I’ll usually also put things like embassy/consulate info in my contacts.
