It is totally worth the drive to experience it. It has some of the darkest skies I’ve ever seen.</p>\n<p>The nearby refuge has just a mindblowing amount of birds and is a vital home for many migratory species. A beautiful high desert grassland with herds of pronghorn — the American antelope. Over 400 sq miles of refuge.</p>\n<p>Camping is free and the hot spring campground is magical.
