While searching for a photo of a group hiking on a trail, I found this wonderful photo taken by one of my kids on a wilderness trip in the Uncompahgre Wilderness in Colorado four years ago. There’s something captivating to me about this shot.

@ayjay I’m sorry to hear about the family health difficulties. My own writing on it was therapeutic for me as much as anything else. I appreciate that you mentioned Standing by Words which was one of first few books by Berry I read and loved, but I rarely hear it mentioned.
