What I want is to work with creative, energetic, hopeful people. I would enjoy building things with them, or for them. I want to build tools that enable creative people to be more creative/productive.

Last night, I had an epiphany.

After months of soul searching, I figured out who I want to be … what direction I want to take my career next. I have no specifics, but it feels great to not feel lost anymore.

As I try to reinvent myself, I realize just how much people try to define you by what you did yesterday, instead of who you are.

I just dusted off an old iPad that I haven’t seen for years. It’s running iOS 6.1.2 and it’s full of my favorite games and the apps I worked on at BlackPixel circa 2011.

@jeffmueller No, sir, you are not. I lived in Silicon Valley for years and developed a sort of allergy to it. I love living in a more balanced area where people have more substantive conversations.
