@tkoola that might be free with vercel.com or fly.io depending on usage. You might look at datasette which can automate publishing to those and also provides a web ui for exploring it.

@manton What are you comparing it to? It’s a big improvement in quality and speed over duckduckgo for me. (I still like do ddg a lot and try both it and Google when Kagi searches don’t have my answer.)

One cool way to expose it would be for theming - perhaps some themes could offer an automatic archive link. Not appropriate for all blogs and not by default, but available.

Something I did recently was make a shrine to privacy on the web, and I used a Hugo shirt code to provide links to .onion domains alongside clear text sites. That implementation is really just a prototype and has lots of room for improvement, but something similar might be nice for some blogs to automatically show the archive alongside the live link.

@MitchW yeah the complexity is a downside. I want to keep my current long post workflow, and have a portfolio site that is more polished, but what’s missing is a way to post quickly from my phone. Might change this in the future but this is a good place to start.

It’s cool that it’s Hugo based; if I spend a lot of time here I can apply my existing Hugo theme skills to customize the site.
