We had the pleasure of seeing Back to the Future: The Musical today in Sydney. It was the most fun stage show that I’ve ever seen and whoever devised how to make a DeLorean reaching 88 miles per hour on-stage appear believable is a genius.

They’re very fun cameras to use—nice to hold, with a lot of soul—and the benefit of the smaller sensor with 2x crop factor is that you essentially get more reach with smaller lenses (e.g. a 40–150mm zoom is equivalent to 80–300mm in full-frame terms). Not to mention, some of the prime lenses are tiny.

@jean Beautiful, and so dramatic! Speaking of dedicated cameras, have you ever used Micro Four Thirds—OM System (formerly Olympus) or Panasonic? I’m a bit painful in pushing people onto the platform, and if you want fantastic weather-sealing and a compact design, the OM-5 Mark II would be ideal for this sort of outdoor photography.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Sigur Rós a few times but this was perhaps the best instance, as last night they performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. Despite the show being held in a large space, it felt incredibly intimate and moving.
