@cstross Seems to me what is wanted is the writing & publishing equivalent of the Soil Association, a body that defines what ‘no ai’ means technically, persuades publishers they can charge a premium for it, and certifies software configurations as compliant with it for writers addressing that market. Giving Apple the fun challenge of promoting the no-ai mode alongside their ai features.
