I’m not Catholic and I don’t inherently have a lot of love for heads of giant organizations. I vehemently disagreed with him on plenty of things (like his take on Ukraine, which I thought was nuts). And yet he seemed to be full of genuine love, compassion, and empathy for his fellow humans, especially the downtrodden.
